Christmas will be here before we know it! So, to prepare for all the festivities we must start now! One such festivity is a Christmas Children's Choir who will perform on December 15th at 10:15am during our Sunday morning worship service. If you'd like for your child to participate the practices are as follows:

November 10th, November 24th, and December 8th at 9:00am on the 2nd floor of the Education Building. The last practice is December 8th at 4:30pm in the auditorium.

For Operation Christmas Child this year individuals/families are being encouraged to consider filling one or more boxes at home to be shipped to children around the world who may have never even heard the name of Jesus! Boxes are available, along with a list of suggested items to put in the boxes. Filled boxes should be returned no later than Sunday, November 24th. The shipping cost is $9 per box.

Anyone with questions may contact Christine or Darcella.

Starting December 1st we will spend 8 days in prayer for international missions. We will intentionally pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ spreads to every nation, tongue, and language. In addition to praying for the gospel's spread, we commit to give financially to this endeavor. We give and support this mission through the International Mission Board's Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Be praying how the Lord might use you to spread His fame this Christmas season!

Each year the ladies of FBC Palmyra gather for a very festive Christmas Tea. They are gathering in the fellowship hall on December 7th at 6:00pm. This event is full of food, conversation, gospel fellowship, and of course tea! Start praying for this event. Pray that the gospel and its implications would be shared in those conversations over tea. Pray for gospel fellowship to be knitting these ladies together. And pray about who you are gonna invite!

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year! It's wonderful because we are reminded of the ancient story of how death was defeated by an infant born of glory. This child defeated death by becoming nothing. He gave up His pride and He came here to die. That infant born of glory is Jesus Christ and He came to die a death he didn't deserve. We deserve death but He gives us life. Our King has come and saved us! Join us on Christmas Eve when we worship this glorious King who humbled Himself by coming to this world and dying the death we deserve.

Perhaps your next step is to believe in Jesus for the first time. Are you being struck by the horribleness of your sin and you know you need a savior? If this is your next step please reach out to us.
